The scientists found

Dr Wing and his colleagues

The brains of the veteran birders
were a lot more active.
Dr Wing said

than those new to the hobby.
He added

more quickly.
The scientists believe

音声を止めずに、英文を見ないで、お手本音声にかぶせるように真似して発音します。音声だけを頼りに同じスピードで言う、最も難易度の高いトレーニングです。

1.Read Aloud(音読)
文の構造やまとまりを意識しながら、声に出して英文を読む。
2.Read and Look Up(リード・アンド・ルックアップ)
文の構造やまとまりを意識しながら一文またはを一フレーズ読み(音読でも黙読でも可)、視線を外してその文またはフレーズを音読するトレーニング法です。このトレーニングでは、直前に見た文を一時的に覚えておき、それを口頭で再現することになります。ただ音をなぞるだけになりがちな通常の音読に比べて、「文を記憶する」という負荷があるため、より効果の高い音読トレーニングです。
「英文を声に出して読む」ことは、スムーズに話せるようになるための基礎作りです。
