STEP 2: Reading Aloud

語彙や文の構造をしっかり理解して自分の中に落とし込むため、下記のいずれかの方法で読み上げましょう。ネイティブのお手本のイントネーションやスピード感をそっくり真似するつもりで取り組んでください。

１．Listen and Repeat（リッスン・アンド・リピート）

一文または一フレーズごとに「停止」ボタンを押しながら音声を聞き、真似して発音します。

２．Overlapping（オーバーラッピング）

音声を止めずに、英文を見ながら、音声にかぶせるように真似して発音します。同じ速さで言えるようになればカンペキです！

３．Shadowing（シャドーイング）

音声を止めずに、英文を見ないで、音声にかぶせるように真似して発音します。音声だけを頼りに同じスピードで言う、最も難易度の高いトレーニングです。

１．Read Aloud（音読）

文の構造やまとまりを意識しながら、声に出して英文を読む。

２．Read and Look Up（リード・アンド・ルックアップ）

文の構造やまとまりを意識しながら一文またはを一フレーズ読み（音読でも黙読でも可）、視線を外してその文またはフレーズを音読するトレーニング法です。このトレーニングでは、直前に見た文を一時的に覚えておき、それを口頭で再現することになります。ただ音をなぞるだけになりがちな通常の音読に比べて、「文を記憶する」という負荷があるため、より効果の高い音読トレーニングです。

「英文を声に出して読む」ことは、スムーズに話せるようになるための基礎作りです。
